ARTESIA, CA: With the big support and blessings of the community, “Bombay Garden” cuisine of India opened its door on May 11th, 2008 on last Mothers Day in Artesia.
The restaurant is owned and operated by Allen and his wife Lipi Chowdhury. Allen himself is highly accomplished, skilled and knowledgeable in the restaurant business. According to Allen he understands the needs of his clients and knows exactly how to manage and provide the best authentic North Indian both Vegetarian and Non Vegetarian food in town. He has earned a strong reputation of success by managing fully fledged Indian restaurants like the “Chamili” restaurant in the city of Rosemead. According to him he believes “good food and good service” are the secret of his success. He had just sold an Indo Bangladeshi restaurant and grocery store in Artesia which he owned for four years. He always wanted to own his restaurant and Bombay Garden is his dreams come true.
On entering the restaurant you are greeted with a smile and welcomed by its friendly staff. The spacious dining room can accommodate 200 guests and the interior décor blends in with the Indian paintings on the wall. The soft music played in the restaurant puts you in a mood to relax and enjoy the ambiance.
The two chefs in charge of the cooking are mastered by Chefs Sucha Singh and Ranjit Singh Bains. Both of them bring long years of culinary experience on Northern Indian specialty dishes. The menu consists of several mouth watering dishes which include amongst other items to name a few Tandoori Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb Malai, Lamb Seekh Kabab, Shrimp Karahi, Malai Kofta, Bhindi Masala, Nav Rattan Korma, Fish Masala, Shahi Paneer, Dal Makhani, Mushroom Masala and Fresh fruits , desserts and many more tantalizing dishes. These go well with side orders of rice and Naan (plain or garlic). The restaurant provides an excellent Lunch Buffet which includes Soda and Ice cream unlike other Indian restaurants for only $8.99 per person which is served daily Mon-Fri from 11:00 am-3:00pm and on weekends Sat- Sun it is served till 3:30pm . The buffet has an excellent selection of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian items. In the evening dinner is served from 5:00pm – 10 pm on weekdays and on weekends Sat-Sun, dinner is served till 10:30pm. Where one enjoy a “la carte” fine dining experience served from the menu. There is an excellent choice of Liquor and wine served in the restaurant. Having a large dining area and ample parking makes the restaurant ideal to host big parties for any kind of occasions. Live music on weekends draws added attraction to the guests. A DJ and dance floor is also available upon request. Catering is also available for all occasions.
